With The Unzipped, New
Damage, Dark Flame and Contingency
First off, somebody went
and put up some alternate lighting in the Red Room.. While not the answer
to all my prayers it was freaking amazing when the guy who occasionally
drops buy to change the light settings managed to not use just the two
red spots, but actually turned on a white light. I'm not kidding a white
strong beautiful light that allowed me to actually get a couple of good
shots of New Damage. Unzipped for the most part was nothing but red. Despite
that I got a couple of good pics in and maybe my "shot of the night"
off them.
The last band that played was Contingency, (actually I've no idea what
the thought process was to the lineup of bands they did tonight.) they
presented me with one of the coolest yet most challenging concert shoots.
No lights on at all except.. one regular bulb hanging down right next
to the mic stand. A neat effect and eventually made for some cool shots.
Easy to work with? hell no. But it was fun non the less. Despite my initial
resistance to shoot tonight, as I was pretty tired and I hate trying to
shoot the Red Room, it turned out to be a very enjoyable night.
Sorry I clumped all 4
bands into one page but I've been short on time lately so I had to cut
corners and just get stuff posted without being able to post process or
sort like I'd like to do.
