Nashville Pussy
I finally got to catch
this band after a long list of attempts. Seems every time I'm either working
a last minute P.I. gig or something else comes up. It promised to be an
interesting night and I was looking for to catching the opening band with
some huge balls. Some guys called Mardo, they sent along some posters
to hang in the club a week or so before, that were to me just classic
and ballsy. 
that's right Mardo was coming to town
and closing out the evening after they play some bands you may not have
heard of, you'll find their names in smaller print if you care about things
like that. Bands with names like Skid Row, Kings X and Nashville Pussy.
Unfortunately Skid Row screwed them over in a way and they were no longer
on the tour.
So I got to catch Nashville Pussy as I was saying. Man what a lot of energy
and attitude. Unfortunately I wasn't having my best night of shooting,
it was partially the 75% red light ratio that always screws me up. And
then there was no photo pit so I had to try to get decent angles through
the crowd. So overall not excited by my shots, hell there are a lot of
really good photos on their site already so check em out.
On the other hand I ended up getting to hang out and visit with the band after their set and they were some of the nicest people. Very approachable and interesting. I had one of the weirdest conversations I've ever had with a band member I didn't know already, and that's saying something. I was having such a nice time I almost didn't shoot Kings X or Skid Row. I probably wouldn't have even got the few shots of the other bands if it wasn't for Ruyter dragging me out to make sure I at least got some shots of the guitarist in Skid Row. Ruyter is the lead guitarist of Nashville Pussy, and a really neat lady or at least I thought so.
