Meridan
Featuring
Liviya Compean, E.P. Vallejo,
PJ Flowers, and Mike Conde
In an effort to conserve space I limited myself to posting 10 pictures
of each band from this show.. And then I put em all as one package on
the webpage. So in semi order here is the Show from Saturday July 23.
I shot almost the entire night with the Sigma 70-200 on a tripod at 1600
ISO. I was pleased with the results for the most part. Aside from the
grain in that high of a ISO but what can you do?
I've covered PJ before so I'll just comment on the other 3 bands. Mike
Conde was pretty good. Reminded me for some reason of Journey. I'm not
sure it's an accurate comparison but it's the first thing that came to
mind. EP Vallejo was the easiest to shoot really.. that black hat and
the vibrant red shirt not to mention his guitarist posings made for a
more interesting shoot. No bad music either. Liviya Compean was more of
an enigma. She came out and I didn't know what to think of her. Solid
rocker with a good voice but she was wearing a wifebeater and a, what
I refer to as a ski hat on her head. as can be seen in 4962. I took a
lot of pics with that on.. Had I known she would take it off I'd have
held off on taking the bulk of my pics. Overall a pretty dynamic band.
And the bass player, well let's just say I liked the way she moved to
the bass.
