Hootie and the Blowfish

I had a feeling that this show would be good, because whether you hate em or not they were one of those bands that played a long time before hitting it big, and it wasn't an accident or just record company hype that pushed em into the spotlight ten years ago. But when you dominate the airwaves for a year like they did, there is bound to be the Bee Gees Backlash. You know where they become the target of certain animosity from .. well everyone it seems. Mainly just for being too successful. I'm not a big fan of radio so I probably never got saturated to the point I was sick of even the name of the band. And I was right The Blowfish are a very tight band and fit in that category of musicians that have continued to hone thier craft, and have kept their edge. They aren't one of those nostalgia bands that suck but people go to see em anyway because it helps them relive a lost youth.

They brought a lot of their own lights which was cool because it allowed me to once again use the 10-22mm lens and get some nice wide angle shots. I couldn't shoot from the back of the room though thanks to the platforms with spotlights keeping me from setting up the ladder like I usually do.
