Daughtry

Ok, I'll be the first to admit I don't know who Daughtry is or why he can sell out the Meridian on his first tour. That could be because I don't or haven't ever actually watched this thing called American Idol. Actually I may have seen an episode once when Ed Mcmahon was still hosting it and they called it Star Search, but I digress.
The guy is trying pretty hard to be intense I think or maybe he really is, though not Henry Rollins intense but who is?. Either way he's not bad for post grunge, ok a few of the songs I could close my eyes and swear to god I was listening to Live. Which is not a bad thing in my book since I really like Live a lot. He's got the chops but he's not breaking new ground musically. My only other complaint is since they are a new band they didn't have a lot of material so the show was clocking in around an hour. I guess though if you dug this guy on American Idol you won't be dissapointed by the live show, qualitywise at least.
