Blue October

It'd been awhile since I'd seen Blue October, not from lack of interest just that every time they have played in recent times I've already been obligated elsewhere. So I was more than pleased when they showed up on the Meridian schedule. I did not however expect the band I used to go see in local clubs to sell out the Meridian in the first few days tickets were available. Not saying they don't deserve the attention it just surprises me when a band that really is good "makes it". Considering the mediocrity that is the creed of the crap radio pushes as the "new hot band" it's always a surprise when satanic mills lets a good band through. But I digress.
Overall I wasn't pleased with my pics, I'm not sure why; maybe a combination of the lighting guys being enamored of shitty lighting and way too much red for photography lately and just having an off night I guess. Of course we can't discount the fact I couldn't get a good angle for the life of me. Stage right for instance could have been china for the ease of me actually making my way over to that side of the room to shoot. And all along the bar was packed so my regular spots were non existant.

The worst part was the shot that could have been. 1956_img... the lighting was pretty good the pic would have been great I think but he stuck his arm out just a bit too far and I cut off the fingertips. Otherwise that would have been my shot of the night
