Sonata Artica

I had been looking forward to this show for awhile, what can I say I'm a sucker for orchestral/symphonic prog metal type stuff. I'd never heard of em till the Meridian booked them and I thought to myself the description isn't too far off from what I'd call Blind Guardian, I'll give it a go. I did a little research, visited their site and picked up a CD. Yep, I can get into this. The live show did not dissapoint either. Like most of the Finnish/Swedish/Danish et al bands I've seen in the last couple of years they were very talented and tight. And unfortunately very under exposed to the American audience. Let's face it, you can't hear this on the radio you just kind of have to luck into it, I got very lucky indeed.

From the photograph standpoint, I have done no post processing to these photos. I should have I know but I haven't had the time to post like I would like. Overall the lights really sucked and getting good shots of a band that can make a night of easy good shots was tough. I also made myself only pick 12 shots to post, I'm trying to discipline myself to pick only a few from each show.
