Pinhead It was my first time shooting Pinhead at Warehouse Live and I have to say I like the lighting better there, but I didn't shoot quite as many shots as I sometimes do. My reasoning was that I can catch Pinhead again pretty soon but I only had so many memory cards to make it through Mushroomhead so I better conserve some. That being said I still got some interesting stuff and experimented with dragging the lens since I had enough stage light that I could do it and it work somewhat well. I concentrated more this shoot on the bass since I've had a hard time getting anything at the Meridian since he tends to stand in a poorly lit area on that stage, finally here I had a chance to catch him in some light. I was happy about that. I didn't get anything this time of the drums that I liked. So I've decided next time I'm going to concentrate on that and maybe get a few from the drummer vantage point out into the audience, (if lighting cooperates). I'm still at a dillemma
with this band, I really don't get into this style of music, it's just
not my thing. But I do enjoy photographing this type of band, and in
this instance I like every member of the band. They are all really good
guys and they each seem to give a damn about the other bands playing
on bill, especially the lesser known ones. It's not uncommon for the
any of them to say to me "hey make you sure you get's some shots
of that band, those are my boys" or similar type sentiments. I
think it's pretty damned admirable that they care more about the "scene"
and supporting it than anyone else I know. |
