Metal Fest
With Necrofaith, Burnt Face Jack and Pinhead
Ok I may have mispelled the names of
the bands or even gotten them wrong entirely.. I can't find the list on
Meridian's site right now to semi confirm any of it.
I only made it to the last 4 or 5 bands of the evening (not counting anything
in the Red room since that rooms is nigh impossible to shoot so I didn't
bother) which is an improvement over the last few Metal Fests where I
get called to do other jobs and had to miss it entirely. I think Louis
the singer for Pinhead and organizer of the fest was beginning to think
I was skipping em on purpose. Granted most of these bands aren't my thing
to listen to but they are damned fun to shoot so I didn't miss the shows
on purpose. Actually they are mostly fun to shoot except that they tend
to really try to set the mood by not using any damned stage lights if
they can help it. Or when they do it's really fricking red or it's only
one damned light which only one guy in the band stands in. Ok it's a nightmare
to shoot but when you can get a decently exposed shot it's gold. These
guys are dynamic and make great action stuff.
