CSS (Cansei de Ser Sexy)

If you are old enough and were in the right place and the right time and had a girlfriend that "just loved them", you might have seen the Go-Go's in the early 80's. Well if you missed it you can still catch the Brazilian band CSS. I swear they remind me so much of that youthful energy mixed with whatever it's mixed with to make you want to start a band then learn to play your instrument and yet somehow still manage to pump out something with a decent beat even if the lyrics are kinda fragmented (either from language barriers or no real concern in writting them). I honestly liked it for what it was, raw and untainted by image makers and too many record execs. It's very unpolished nature gave them a sort of credibility and charisma that is sadly missing from most bands today. Besides they had a very catchy sound.
