Against Me!
The band was labelled as Punk-Folk on the synopsis I read. Ok, I'll give it a go whatever the hell "punk-folk" means. I figured I'd at least show up and shoot a few songs then roll on out towards home if it's not my thing. First couple of songs and I'm thinking ok they've got good energy and a decent sound and the crowd certainly loves them, but I'm still heading home in a few. Another couple of songs go by and I think I've gotten enough shots and I'm tired, it's time to go. when suddenly they hit this groove and I'm trapped there. I really start listening to these guy and I like it. Before long I'm considering this to be one of the better shows I've seen in awhile. They do another couple of songs off the new album and I think to myself, I'm buying this CD before I leave. It's only 10 songs and thats my biggest complaint about it.
Now I'm just hoping the next time they come through they'll not be to big to play the Meridian so I can be assured I'll have a photo pass again.
